As a mother of two boys I can attest to the fact that they can be strange and gross little creatures.

La Guerra de La Duquesa (English, Spanish, Electronic book text)

Courtney Milan really outdid herself this time. In conclusion, a view spoiler [male and a female virgin is one too many. There was a lot more to this book than just the romance however, and I loved reading about the workers’ movement in England at the time. I fucking love this book. Put me off totally. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. This is everything I look for in a historical romance. They’d already know what caught my eye. She is hidden with a new name to escape a great scandal in London ten years earlier. My favourite thing about Milan is that I’m ckurtney aware of the fact that she djquesa women and people in general, and that translates into things that show you she’s keeping not just her characters but also her audience in mind.

I did have a minor quibble with a few aspects, but overall, it was an incredible read. She’s made it harder for other historical romance novelists, that’s for sure, but she’s also made it hard for herself. This is the second time you’ve said that. She dquesa the female equivalent of a mad scientist. It isn’t a bodice ripper. This ended up being one of the better romances I’ve read in awhile. Nothing ever has been. Never have intercourse when one of the parties is in love with the other.

Courtney Milan did an exceptional job conveying this aspect of history and the plight of women who wished for courttney.

I couldn’t get why a wealthy and handsome duke thinks he needs to use force to have sex with a woman. It rather does the opposite since he’s very, very interested in Minnie and her sharp intellect now.

But when Robert and Minnie are together their interactions were great.

About the strength of love.

The Duchess War (Brothers Sinister, #1) by Courtney Milan

Robert Blaisdale, the Duke of Clermont, is the product of a loveless marriage containing a destructive level of acrimony. May 07, Baba rated it liked it Shelves: Jul 14, Mei rated it it was amazing Shelves: After the event and Robert figures out why she did what she did and he’s still trying to solicit her into marriage, he tells Minnie he wants her allegiance if she marries him.

S Oh, I’m sooooo happy to discover another wonderful author of historical romances! Milan had a brilliant story to tell about science and women’s hidden roles in science, and believe me its brilliant! I’m torn on whether it’s poor but understandable behavior by a character who’s distressed and unaccustomed to working as a team, or whether it’s just a situation that was forced into the plot to create extra drama. I’m just saying that he likes his women to have the balls guts to speak their opinions.

The other thing I didn’t like about this book is that it didn’t deal with Violet’s history of infertility and pregnancy loss in a way that felt real to me. Dec 31, Lady Wesley rated it it was amazing Shelves: THAT, oddly, and not the feelings of the heroine who doesn’t fit nor the the assume unrequited dynamic of the couple’s relationship is what made this book so very painful and so very rewarding.

But, unlike other stories and mind you, this only happens in storiesshe grows tremendously as a character, and realises her self-worth – as a woman, as a scientist, as a lover, as a friend, as a daughter, as an aunt Por muy caros que fueran sus vestidos, siempre estaban en el lado courtnsy del buen gusto.
