This was an entertaining play with a good amount of suspense!

The first play I have ever read, and I really enjoyed the meta nature of it. Levin’s best known novel is Rosemary’s Babya horror story of modern day satanism and the occult, set in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Clifford’s play is, like the actual play itself, entitled Deathtrap, and is also a one set, five character thriller.

In the scene in which Michael Caine calls the police in tears and then stops the waterworks the second he finishes the call really displays Caine’s brilliance.

Interspersed with reassurances that he is only kidding, he frightens Myra with suggestions that he may kill Clifford in order to steal the script.
