First, the book should have been called Eugenia, she really was the one character that shone. Berlinton, and though this would not make him any money, her romantic turn of mind and loveliness tempted him to a scheme yet darker.

This story of Camilla and Edgar who love each other but take pages of afnny misunderstandings to reach the happy end proceeds with no regard for psychological probability, and the endless silliness of the impossibly noble characters tax the patience of the reader almost beyond endurance.

It seems that their relationship revolved around a series of misunderstandings. Tyrold scarce noticed this declaration; but his brother endeavoured to dissuade him from so sudden and partial a measure: Camilla, a Picture of Youth by Fanny Burney 3 stars but is well written.
