The writing was beautiful, the pacing was tight, and the plot twists were clever and unexpected. LOVED the divergent take on the creation story. She doesn’t let you down here. Daphne, such an innocuous name for such a character But then again brtween how can you make fun of such things as dead demon girls, suicide attempts, dead mothers and mutilated corpses? I think that Ms. If these had been small things, instead of integral parts of the story, I could have let them slip, but they weren’t.

With the help of Truman they go on a journey to find Obie and along the way find yovanof one thing they least expected Her descriptions of Pandemonium were detailed and vivid, and her unique spin on the tale of Lilith and Lilith’s children pulled me in during the prologue.
My love bwtween this book is probably not entirely rational, but I will attempt to write a coherent review that doesn’t descend into gushing and babbling. But on Earth, everything is colder and more terrifying, and Daphne struggles between her demon instincts and her growing feelings for Truman.
Though his roll was just to provide a reason for the story line, it was his devotion to family, love and life that spoke volumes to me. Daphne feels Betdeen and seems Other, but still remains relatable.

I liked this part of the book. Sep 13, Pages Young Adult. Mar 07, Kitkat rated it really liked it. How much is true to the legend and how much was created by Yovanoff?? I liked maybe even loved Trials and tribulations and discoveries these two make are vital to the story.
There is no big confrontation. Being basically a blue blooded princess amongst her yocanoff relatives, she resides in Hell Pandemonium, where she hangs out with Beelzebub and other demons, mostly her sisters, the Lilim, girls with metal teeth. So even though he was fallen he still knew love.
The world Yovanoff created is both frightening and beautiful. His life is a colossal mess; it no wonders he is slowly killing himself. Take one emo kid named Truman Think of Samwithout the guitar and wearwolfism, and add times more angst on top brsnna it!
