Survey of the Living Primates. This is an easy book to get through if you’re interested in the subject. It was simple enough, being an introduction book, that I could follow easily and really take it all in.

Anthropologt useful collection of info. Beyond a great basic textbook, if you find yourself interested in the approximate chronology of the emergence of modern day man or hypothesizing what color eyes your kids are likely to have, this book is fascinating and sans usual haughty textbook syntax.

I include this because I read the whole fucking thing this semester, and because it’s pretty good as far as textbooks go. She has taught courses in physical anthropology, nutritional anthropology, medical anthropology, evolutionary medicine, and anthropology of reproduction.
