We meet Garrett and Kate once again acting as protectors of Becky, and we also see Tristan and Sophie briefly. She also did a great job of building the tension, so much so that when I knew I was coming to the part of the seducyion where everything was about to fall apart for Jack and Rebecca, I almost didn’t want to continue reading.
The star of this book is undoubtedly Lady Rebecca, or Becky as her friends call her. But 4 years later she is a widow wondering seductjon she should have some fun. Is it October yet? One of Rebecca’s actions during this part of the book totally took me by surprise, and I had to go sedudtion and reread the whole passage to make sure I hadn’t misread it.
This is a wonderful, delightful story of trust, betrayal, truth, facing the past, the consequence and finding true love. After hearing so many good things about Jennifer Haymore, I saw this book at the library and just knew I had to try her out, and see what I thought of her, especially since it was Christmas themed in a way. The story isn’t really very holiday-inspired, even though the events do take place s to Christmas. An engrossing read, A Season But I hope that her next book will appeal more to me than this one did.
